Welcome to the Antarctic Meteorite Location and Mapping Project (AMLAMP) site. The pages included herein are adapted from The Lunar and Planetary Institute Technical Report 93-07. However, data and information found here is expanded and more up-to-date than can be found in the report and is current as of the dates noted.  The site is extensive with many maps, photos, texts, and tables. It is not the spiffiest site on the web, but there is little time to devote to this. Just trying to keep it updated is task enough. But I'll keep plugging away and making small improvements.

It has been a while since I have updated the AMLAMP site with new classifications and re-classifications, corrections, and explanatory texts for new meteorite find sites. Hopefully, it won't be as long to the next update. And one of these days I'll get around to bringing the AMLAMP site out of the dark ages and bring it up to modern web standards.

So, enjoy your explorations of the frozen continent through this fascinating world of meteorites and ice!
